On Wednesday, 20 September, Jacksons hosted their centenary business celebration with their staff, past directors and existing clients at the Godolphin, Marazion.

“I am so pleased that many clients have become good friends over the years and I am now dealing with the second and third generations of families who continue to use our insurance broking services” stated Steve Moses, current Managing Director of Jacksons.

The centenary celebration started with all guests being greeted by current staff and past directors. Names were put to faces post Covid lockdown, to the St Michaels Mount backdrop that the Godolphin prime location enjoyed. The sit-down meal was punctuated with a general knowledge quiz that weaved in questions based on Cornwall, through to what £100 in 1923 is now worth?  Steve Moses paid tribute to the history of the business and to the former directors who attended.

Jacksons 100th year milestone

 “The team and I are incredibly grateful to all our longstanding clients for the trust they have placed in us over many decades. We pride ourselves on the services we provide to them”, said Steve Moses.

Having reached this significant milestone, Steve Moses concluded “We celebrate our centenary year whilst looking forward to future challenges and opportunities. We will be here to help our clients manage both traditional and emerging risks. Thank you to everyone who has contributed in any way to the success of Jacksons and we look forward to 2024 and beyond...”

Brown & Brown Chairman J. Hyatt Brown and his wife Ci Ci joined the staff of Jacksons, Insurance Brokers based in Penzance, to celebrate the firm’s centenary of trading.

Jacksons was founded in 1923, and in 2021 was acquired by Higos, GRP’s South West hub business, which then became part of Brown & Brown when the world’s sixth largest broker acquired GRP in 2022.

Hyatt and Ci Ci have been holidaying in Cornwall, and dropped by at the Jacksons head office to meet the team and celebrate the centenary in person. Steve Moses, Managing Director of Jacksons, stated: "A massive thank you to Hyatt and Ci Ci for joining us with our celebrations all the way from Daytona Beach, Florida."
